According to the results of a 2022 survey conducted in the United States, the main concerns consumers had about using virtual reality or augmented reality tools when selecting and buying goods were accuracy of the item shown as well as the user's privacy. Over 80 percent of those surveyed selected these two responses as their top concerns.
